Emillie Parrish is an island-dwelling writer and fermentation enthusiast. She grew up in rural Ontario, as the daughter of border-crossing hippies from New York state. This instilled in her a lifelong love of the outdoors and an understanding of how lifestyle choices are linked to health and well-being.
She is always engaged in a dance between her creative side and a natural tendency towards organization and logic. After completing her Graduate work in Neuroscience, Emillie worked in healthcare management and planning.
She is currently a full-time writer and food blogger, which allows her to blend her structured side with her flair for the creative.

Emillie met Brad on her very first day at University, and they have been together ever since. They share a love of challenge and adventure. And enjoy living a car-free and simple lifestyle with their two children, Max and Una.
