Free libraries are a fun way to connect with your community. Here are some more artistic free libraries, to inspire your creative side!

We decided a few years ago that our Cooperative Housing Complex needed a free library. We have a farmers’ market on our block, and live just a few blocks from downtown. So there is plenty of foot traffic.
It’s also really hard to find our building number behind the lush secret garden-inspired landscaping out front. So the library would serve a secondary purpose: providing a house marker.
It took a pandemic for Brad to finally get around to building one. (And even longer before I’ll get to writing a post about our simple design).
Meanwhile, Max and Una have taken to playing free library bingo. And we’ve been running all over town exploring free libraries.

Free libraries are a fun way to be creative. While you may not commit to painting your whole house in rainbow colors, a free library offers a perfect alternative.
